TRADING
•The holding company was trading coal before the directors decided to start mining coal. As a result, all the base customers for the coal were contracted with the holding company. The group then decided to continue contracting all the sale and purchase agreements through Ndalama Capital (Pty) Ltd.
•The holding company also acts as the centre for all the corporate functions required by the mining company.
BENEFICIATING
•Once Ndalama Capital Mining has mined the coal they will beneficiate the coal. Ndalama Capital Mining only uses DMS wash plants as these have the best yield percentages.
•Beneficiation happens at the wash-plant. We are currently toll washing at neighbouring wash plants. We aim to have wash plants running at all our sites by June 2025.
MINING
•Once the holding company has signed a contract to deliver coal it then places an order with the subsidiary company - Ndalama Capital Mining (Pty) Ltd.
•Ndalama Capital Mining owns its own plant and machinery and it runs day and night shift.
LOGISTICS
•Once the coal is beneficiated Ndalama Capital Mining sells the coal to the holding company. The holding company tests and transports the coal to the nearest siding. Ndalama Capital (Pty) Ltd has got slot and rail allocations with Transnet. We also use trucks to transport our coal from Ermelo.
•Once the coal arrives at the port, Ndalama Capital (Pty) will load it onto the ships and can deliver FOB / CFR
